Job Full Description
Key Responsibilities:
Operate tractors and disc equipment to prepare and maintain fields for planting and irrigation.
Perform field preparation tasks including discing, leveling, and soil conditioning.
Inspect tractors and equipment daily to ensure safe and proper operation.
Perform basic maintenance on equipment such as checking fluids, greasing components, and reporting mechanical issues.
Follow assigned field maps, directions, and supervisor instructions to complete work efficiently.
Load, transport, and move materials or equipment around the work site as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure equipment is stored properly after use.
Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures while operating machinery.
Work closely with supervisors and crew members to complete field work on schedule.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday 6:00 AM start time (8–10 hour shifts)
Saturdays 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience operating tractors or agricultural equipment preferred.
Experience operating disc equipment or similar field preparation machinery.
Ability to safely operate heavy equipment in outdoor and agricultural environments.
Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine equipment checks and minor maintenance.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Strong attention to safety and detail.
Forklift certification is a plus.
Valid driver’s license preferred.
