Sales Administrator
Pay: $23.55–$28.21/hr Location: Confidential Central California Manufacturer
A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Sales Administrator to support customer communication, order processing, quoting, and coordination between customers and internal engineering teams. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working with technical product information.
Position Overview
The Sales Administrator works closely with the Sales Administration Manager and serves as a key point of contact for customers. Responsibilities include entering customer orders, preparing quotations, providing delivery updates, analyzing product profitability, and supporting a variety of administrative functions within the sales department.
Key Responsibilities

Receive customer purchase orders and accurately enter all details into the order entry system

Create invoices and shipping documentation with a high level of accuracy

Communicate delivery timelines, order status, and product information to customers

Prepare standard product quotations, including pricing, delivery, and product recommendations

Analyze customer requests and guide customers toward appropriate or alternative products

Coordinate technical information between customers and internal engineering teams

Perform clerical and administrative tasks to support the sales department

Assist with catalog distribution, sales rep support, and other daily sales functions as needed
Qualifications

Associate degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact clearly, professionally, and confidently

Ability to understand and relay technical product information

Strong analytical skills with the ability to review manufacturing costs and prepare accurate proposals

High attention to detail and accuracy in order entry, invoicing, and documentation

Proficiency with computers and commonly used office software

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Strong understanding of product identification, part numbering, and product functionality

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
