Express Employment Professionals of Bradenton, FL is currently hiring a Construction Project Representative in the Bradenton. FL area.
The Construction Project Representative (CPR) serves as the on-site liaison between the City projects and the contractors, overseeing construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and project requirements. The CPR monitors progress, documents field activities, communicates with stakeholders, and supports project delivery from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
-Monitor daily construction activities to ensure work is performed according to approved plans, specifications, and contract documents.
-Serve as the primary on-site contact for contractors, engineers, consultants, and owners.
-Maintain accurate and detailed field records, including daily reports, progress photos, material deliveries, and work logs.
-Conduct field inspections and verify quality control procedures, materials testing, and workmanship standards.
-Assist with change order review, schedule tracking, and pay application validation.
-Communicate issues or discrepancies to the project manager or engineer of record and assist with resolutions.
-Attend construction meetings and provide updates on schedule, safety, and site coordination.
-Ensure contractor compliance with safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and permitting requirements.
-Coordinate field testing, inspections, and punch list completion.
-Assist in project closeout, final inspections, and as-built documentation review.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
-3+ years of experience in construction inspection, field engineering, or construction supervision.
-Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and safety regulations.
-Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with project management or construction tracking software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or Bluebeam) is a plus.
-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Working Conditions:
-Frequent field work at active construction sites, including exposure to weather, dust, noise, and uneven terrain.
-May require working early hours, evenings, or weekends depending on project needs.
-Must be able to walk, stand, and climb for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
-OSHA 10/30 Certification or equivalent safety training.
-Knowledge of public works and infrastructure construction projects.
-Experience working with municipal or government projects and contractors.
