Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals of Bradenton, FL, is currently hiring directly for a Driver/Warehouse position for a Multi-Location family-owned Flooring company in Venice, FL.
Duties:
- Safely operate the company vehicles box truck to transport flooring materials, tools, and supplies to residential, commercial, and industrial job sites.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, ensuring proper securing of loads to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Receive incoming shipments of hardwood, tile, carpet, vinyl, adhesives, underlayment, and related flooring products, verifying packing slips against purchase orders.
- Inspect materials for defects or damage and document discrepancies.
- Assist in regular cycle counts and year-end inventory audits.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license (CDL not required for most flooring deliveries, but a clean driving record is essential).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and handle heavy, bulky flooring products safely.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- 3+ years of prior experience driving for a company.
