Industrial Seamstress/Sewer

Location: Saint Petersburg, FL (Travel throughout Central Florida)
Pay Rate: $18-$22.00/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines and related equipment to sew, stitch, and assemble textile components.
- Follow technical drawings to ensure products meet specifications.
- Inspect materials and finished products for quality, accuracy, and defects.
- Perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and routine maintenance as needed.
- Measure, cut, and prepare fabric or materials prior to sewing when required.
- Maintain production efficiency while ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety procedures and production guidelines.
- Communicate material shortages, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervisors.
Requirements
- Requires a high school diploma with courses in math and computer operations.
- Experience in industrial textile manufacturing, upholstery, tactical gear, or technical fabric production.
- Familiarity with production workflow environments.
- 7 years of Experience operating multiple machine types: Single and double needle industrial machines.
- Knowledge of textile materials, thread types, and sewing techniques.
- Experience operating embroidery or programmable sewing equipment.
