Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a Deputy Clerk to work in the Real Estate Records Room of a local office in Augusta, GA. This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling legal documentation with accuracy and professionalism.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Index real estate deeds, liens, and plats into the public records system
  • Review and process legal documents for accuracy and compliance
  • Provide customer service to the public regarding real estate records
  • Maintain and organize physical and digital files
  • Assist with scanning, data entry, and document archiving
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates to the real estate database

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service, administration, or records management
  • Data entry experience with high accuracy
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to perform basic math functions: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, counting, and measuring

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with real estate documents and terminology
  • Experience working in a legal, court, or government office
  • Proficiency with office software and document management systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
