Life Enrichment Coordinator/Activity Assistant  – Make Every Day Meaningful for Our Client’s Residents!

Are you a creative, energetic, and compassionate person who loves bringing joy to others? Join our client’s team as a Life Enrichment Coordinator, where you’ll help create uplifting daily experiences for residents in our Independent Living and Personal Care community. Under the direction of the Life Enrichment Director, you’ll plan, lead, and support activity programs that foster connection, purpose, and well-being.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Weekends as needed during holidays)

What You’ll Do

  • Lead engaging daily programs, including chair aerobics and other exercise activities.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting life enrichment programs for Independent Living and Assisted Living residents.
  • Provide one-on-one room visits for residents who do not participate in group activities.
  • Create weekly and monthly activity calendars using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other basic computer programs.
  • Coordinate special events, including arranging refreshments and collaborating with Dining Services.
  • Monitor and support outside groups and volunteers during on-site activities.
  • Respond to emergencies in compliance with facility emergency and disaster procedures.
  • Assist with community outings by helping plan trips and driving a 14-passenger bus or community vehicle (must meet company driving standards).
  • Work collaboratively with Personal Care Staff on individualized resident activity plans.
  • Maintain activity logs, progress reports, and department documentation.
  • Handle sensitive resident information with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Clean background check
  • Ability to pass a drug screen.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Comfortable working in a senior living environment.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel).
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and assist residents (including pushing wheelchairs).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Typing/keyboard proficiency (30+ WPM).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a retirement community, hospitality, customer service, or recreation setting.
  • A warm, friendly, and patient personality with a natural ability to engage older adults.
