Express seeks skilled Furnace Operators who thrive in demanding conditions and take pride in safety, precision, and teamwork. If you’ve worked in chemical processing, tire manufacturing, thermal ceramics, or similar heavy processing environments, this could be the perfect next step.
Compensation: $27.00 per hour - Up to $2,000 annual bonus potential
Shifts: Primarily 2nd & 3rd shift (9-hour shifts)
- $2/hour shift differential for hours worked between 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
What You’ll Do: As a Furnace Operator, you’ll work in a high-temperature industrial environment supporting critical production processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor furnaces used for melting and processing metals
- Work safely with molten metal in a hot, heavy manufacturing environment
- Wear and properly use significant PPE including heat-resistant gear
- Monitor temperatures, materials, and process conditions
- Follow strict safety, quality, and environmental procedures
- Perform inspections and basic troubleshooting of equipment
- Maintain accurate production and process documentation
- Work closely with production, maintenance, and safety teams
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a heavy processing manufacturing environment
- (chemicals, tires, thermal ceramics, metals, or similar)
- Must pass a background and drug screen
- Willingness and ability to work with molten metal
- Comfortable working in hot environments while wearing extensive PPE
- Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
- Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift, including 9-hour shifts
- Reliable, team-oriented, and process-driven
