Job Overview
We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitorial / Custodian to join our team in Downtown Augusta. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in office spaces, restrooms, lobbies, corridors, and exterior areas using established cleaning procedures.
The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering high-quality service, works well independently, and contributes positively to a team environment. If you have strong attention to detail and enjoy keeping facilities clean and organized, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, lobbies, corridors, and exterior areas
- Empty waste baskets and ashtrays
- Dust, spot clean, and maintain furniture, desktops, telephones, glass, and upholstered surfaces
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum hard floors and carpets
- Clean fixtures, floors, and walls
- Maintain restroom cleanliness and restock supplies as needed
- Remove trash and ensure exterior areas remain free of debris
Requirements
- 1+ years of janitorial or custodial experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule
- Reliable transportation to Downtown Augusta
- Demonstrated dependability and professionalism
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment properly
- Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision
- Strong teamwork skills and cooperative attitude
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering excellent service
- High energy and physical endurance
- Ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift 25+ pounds
- Ability to speak and read English is a plus (may be required by some clients)
- Follow prescribed cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
