Job Full Description
A leading distribution center in Rincon, GA is looking for an Order Puller to join their team immediately! The Order Puller is responsible for filling customer orders by pulling product using a forklift and bringing them to the delivery platform for shipping. This position is critical to ensure that customer orders are shipped accurately and in a timely manner. This is an evaluation hire opportunity with frequent pay raises!
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is shipped
- Transport orders using a forklift to the correct shipping location in the warehouse
- Ensure all shipments are accurate and free of damage
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
- Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack to fill orders, some orders may require hand picking and loading onto the pallets
- Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
- Cleaning work areas to ensure a safe working environment
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Frequently lifting up to 50lbs and standing for long periods of time
- At least 1 year of sit down forklift experience
- 1-2 years of warehouse experience
- Must be able to read, write and perform simple math
- Basic knowledge of picking and inventory
- High school diploma
- Must be able to follow directions and work independently
