Job Full Description
A local facility is searching for an experienced Jockey Driver. The primary responsibility of this position is to safely operate Jockey trucks to switch empty and full trailers and containers to and from shipping and receiving dock and yard.
Responsibilities:
- Promptly performs pulls and plugs of on-yard equipment.
- Opens container and trailer doors, places and sets seals.
- Makes sure that safety chocks are in place during the loading process, are removed for return to the parking area, and then replaced while the trailer is parked. Places and removes jack stands as required.
- Complies with all safety and security measures.
- Locates and records equipment data upon request.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we look for:
- Strong hand-eye coordination
- Ability to back up without issues
- At least 6 months of Jockey Truck experience
- Schedule is Monday to Friday from 6 am to 5pm
