Express is looking for a strong Logistics candidate for a client in Savannah!

 

Position Title: Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator
Location: Savannah, GA (On-site only)
Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $21-$24 an hour based on experience
Working Hours: Flexible workday aligned with 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM EST to support West Coast operations until 4:00 PM PST

 

About The Client:
Express has a client that is a leading manufacturer and distributor in the Ductile Iron Pipe industry, serving customers across the United States with durable, high-performance water infrastructure solutions. They are looking to strengthen their Savannah team with a versatile professional who can manage customer service responsibilities and support logistics and order coordination across their East and West Coast depots.

 

Position Summary:
This is a full-time, in-office role based in Savannah, GA. The primary focus is on Customer Service, including order management, client communication, and supporting the outside sales team. Additionally, the role includes logistics and yard coordination to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders, especially for the West Coast. The workday can be adjusted to cover operations until 4 PM Pacific Time (7 PM EST).

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for customer order inquiries, updates, and issue resolution
  • Coordinate with outside sales team to prepare quotes, order confirmations, and documentation
  • Interface with warehouse and yard staff to monitor and coordinate dispatches
  • Assist in booking transportation, tracking shipments, and managing delivery timelines
  • Maintain accurate records using SAP Business One or similar ERP platforms (training provided)
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate availability to internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in preparing shipping and invoicing documents
  • Support West Coast depot needs through adjusted working hours as required
  • Perform general administrative duties related to customer orders and logistics

 

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in customer service or logistics coordination
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Experience with SAP Business One or a comparable ERP system preferred
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma required; some college or technical training preferred
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain operations a plus
