Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Rail / Paper Clamp Operator to join our warehouse and logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a forklift equipped with a paper clamp attachment to safely load, unload, move, and stage large paper rolls from railcars and within the facility. The ideal candidate has experience operating clamp trucks, working around railcars, and handling large paper rolls without damage.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate a forklift with a paper clamp attachment to load and unload paper rolls from railcars and trailers.

Safely transport and stack paper rolls in designated warehouse locations.

Inspect railcars, trailers, and loads to ensure safe loading/unloading procedures.

Handle paper rolls carefully to prevent product damage.

Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and equipment operating procedures.

Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Assist with inventory counts and warehouse operations as needed.

Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate railcar and warehouse activities.
Qualifications:

Previous experience operating a paper clamp forklift or clamp truck preferred.

Experience loading/unloading railcars is a plus.

Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain one).

Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Strong attention to safety and detail.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary and work on your feet for extended periods.

Basic communication and teamwork skills.
