About the Opportunity
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a hands-on Onsite Workforce Coordinator / Working Lead to support one of our high-volume warehouse clients with approximately 75+ associates onsite.
This is a working lead role — you will be responsible for overseeing workforce operations while also supporting warehouse functions during downtime. This position is ideal for someone who leads by example and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Express and the client onsite
- Manage daily attendance, call-offs, and headcount reporting
- Conduct floor walks and associate check-ins throughout the shift
- Address performance, attendance, and behavioral concerns in real time
- Ensure accurate timekeeping and payroll approvals
- Partner with the recruiting team to fill urgent staffing needs
- Build strong relationships with both associates and client leadership
- Provide daily and weekly reporting on workforce performance
- Step into warehouse operations as needed (loading/unloading, material handling, etc.) when not actively handling lead responsibilities
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in staffing, warehouse leadership, or lead/crew supervisor role
- Willingness to be a hands-on working lead — not just supervision
- Strong communication and people management skills
- Ability to hold associates accountable while maintaining professionalism
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment (standing/walking/lifting as needed)
- Ability to adapt quickly and solve problems on the spot
