Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Reach Truck Operator to support daily warehouse operations. This role is responsible for operating a reach truck to move, store, and retrieve inventory in high-rack storage areas while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and strict safety standards. The ideal candidate is experienced in warehouse logistics and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a reach truck and other material-handling equipment
- Move, stage, and organize inventory in racking systems up to warehouse height standards
- Load and unload pallets from trailers and storage racks
- Accurately pick and replenish inventory using RF scanners or warehouse systems
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues immediately
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures at all times
- Assist with general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, and palletizing as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
Requirements
- Prior experience operating a reach truck required
- Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to safely lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory handling
- Ability to work in fast-paced warehouse environments
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2+ years warehouse or distribution experience
- Experience with RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Familiarity with high-rack storage operations
- Sit-down forklift experience is a plus
Work Environment
- Indoor warehouse/distribution center setting
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating machinery
- Exposure to varying temperatures depending on facility
- Overtime and weekend shifts may be required based on business needs
