Job Full Description
Responsibilities of an Electrician
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
- Run conduit, PVC pipe, and electrical wiring according to code requirements.
- Install electrical panels, breakers, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and other components.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and diagnose system malfunctions.
- Test electrical systems using meters and other diagnostic tools.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work independently or with construction and maintenance teams to complete projects on time.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, and inspections.
- Operate lifts, power tools, hand tools, and other equipment safely.
Desired Skills/Qualifications
- Experience in commercial, industrial, or residential electrical work.
- Knowledge of MC cable, conduit bending, and underground PVC installation.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions when required.
