Accounting Assistant – Construction Industry
📍 Location: Kailua, Oahu
💵 Compensation: Up to $23/hour
🕒 Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our construction and accounting departments. This role blends accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations, and administrative support, playing a key part in keeping financial and project operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, manage invoices, expense reports, and weekly check runs.
- Support biweekly payroll allocations, petty cash tracking, and preparation of financial reports.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, assist with month-end close, and maintain the general ledger.
- Provide administrative support including filing, scheduling, correspondence, and office coordination.
- Assist project managers with subcontractor documents, change orders, and ensure accuracy between Procore and Foundation software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or administrative support, ideally in the construction industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Foundation.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
