Salary: up to $95K
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Plant Superintendent to oversee operations and maintenance. As part of a leading supplier of ready-mix concrete and quarry materials in Hawaii, you will be responsible for managing quarry plant operations, maintaining high production standards, and ensuring full compliance with safety and quality requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational oversight, team management skills, and a solid understanding of quarry development and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily plant operations, equipment maintenance, and production output
• Monitor and manage material inventory and coordinate with the quarry team
• Support production goals and quarry development activities
• Enforce compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations
• Ensure products meet quality standards; implement corrective measures as needed
• Supervise plant personnel and promote a strong safety culture
• Collaborate with management on continuous improvement strategies
Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred)
• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in an industrial or quarry setting
• Strong knowledge of plant operations, equipment maintenance, and production flow
• Solid understanding of OSHA safety standards and environmental regulations
• Familiarity with quality control practices in aggregate or concrete production
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferred Skills
• Experience working under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
• Prior experience in quarry operations or concrete materials production
• Working knowledge of equipment diagnostics, mechanical systems, or heavy equipment
• Proficient in reporting, inventory tracking, and operational planning
