Accounting Manager
📍 Location: Honolulu, HI
💼 Job Type: Full-Time, 4 days in office + 1 day remote
💵 Pay: Up to $90k
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including billing, AP/AR, general ledger, and month‑end reconciliations.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, analyze budget‑to‑actual variances, and prepare financial reports for leadership and external stakeholders.
- Manage financial reporting and compliance, including GAAP‑aligned statements, grants/contract reporting, audit coordination, and annual business filings.
- Monitor cash flow, maintain banking and investment activity, and ensure strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Provide financial guidance to leadership, support project and grant budgeting, and oversee continuous improvements in accounting processes and staff development.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, MBA, or advanced credentials preferred.
- 6+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role; construction project accounting strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, and Microsoft Office applications.
