HR Specialist

Compensation: $23-25/hour (DOE)
A leading Oahu based organization is seeking a detail‑oriented HR Specialist to support daily human resources operations, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, payroll support, and employee data management. This role works closely with department managers and the company’s PEO partner to maintain accurate processes, ensure compliance, and deliver strong service to employees.

What You’ll Do
• Support core HR operations including payroll coordination, maintaining accurate employee records, and assisting with benefits‑related tasks through the PEO provider.
• Assist with recruitment by posting jobs, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, supporting onboarding, and conducting background checks.
• Help track and maintain compliance for required training, certifications, and workplace policies, and coordinate select HR or safety training sessions.
• Provide day‑to‑day HR support by responding to employee and applicant inquiries, assisting with HR program administration, and helping ensure adherence to employment laws and company policies.
• Perform additional HR‑related tasks as needed to support the department.
What You Bring
• Prior experience in HR support, administration, or a related field
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Familiarity with HR systems, payroll data, and compliance tracking
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
