Front Desk Receptionist
Express Employment Professionals is hiring for a Receptionist in Effingham, IL. The Receptionist position is a full-time, long-term opportunity with pay from $16/hour.
Receptionist Job Requirements
- Welcome patients and visitors in person and on the telephone in a courteous and professional manner.
- Schedule appointments to optimize patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization.
- Verify insurance benefits and eligibility prior to appointments.
- Accurately record data in patients’ electronic health records.
- Distribute paperwork to patients and ensure paperwork is complete.
- File and maintain paper charts as well as incoming / outgoing correspondence, patient forms, labs, etc.
- Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying clinicians of patient’s arrival.
- Copy, fax, scan and mail various documents.
- Interact with primary care physician offices to schedule incoming referral appointments and obtain patient information.
- Maintain a presentable and orderly reception area.
- Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
- Maintain daily operations by following policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Possess the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional telephone and professional customer service skills.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to collaborate well with other team members.
- Must possess excellent follow through at all times.
Education and Experience:
- Administrative experience required.
- Associate degree preferred, but not required
