1st Shift Mechanical Assembler
Our client, a leading manufacturing company, in Rockford is looking for Mechanical Assemblers to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, have strong mechanical aptitude, and are looking to grow with a stable employer. This position works M-F 6AM-2:30PM and pay is $17 then $19 at hire on. Job Responsibilities:
- Assemble hydraulic components and mechanical products according to work instructions and blueprints.
- Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring instruments to complete assemblies.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, work orders, and production specifications.
- Inspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform basic functional testing and identify any defects or assembly issues.
- Package finished products and prepare them for shipment.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and report any quality concerns.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Job Qualifications:
- Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read basic blueprints and use measuring tools is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Dependable attendance and a positive work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
