• CNC Machinist – Direct Hire

  Location: Rockford, IL
  Pay: Up to $35/hour – Based on Experience
  Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  Overtime as needed | Saturdays as assigned
  Direct Hire Position

  A global manufacturing company is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team.

  Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and machining centers.
  • Load and edit CNC programs and make machine adjustments.
  • Read and understand blueprints, work orders, and job instructions.
  • Select and install proper tooling.
  • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Make adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.
  • Complete production and quality records.
  • Use an ERP system to process work orders.
  • Assist with process improvements and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Follow all safety and PPE requirements.
  • Assist and train other employees as needed.

  Qualifications

  • CNC machining and setup experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools.
  • Good basic math skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make machine adjustments.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety and quality.
