Job Title: Assistant Business Office Manager
Location: Springfield, IL
Salary: $50,000 – $58,000 per year

As our current Business Manager prepares for retirement, we are seeking an Assistant Business Office Manager who can take on vital day-to-day office responsibilities, including bookkeeping, payroll, and HR support.
What You’ll Do:

Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank deposits

Assist in processing bi-weekly payroll for approximately 40 employees

Support HR functions, including new hire orientations and open enrollment for benefits

Collaborate closely with the current Business Manager for a smooth transition

Contribute to a positive, efficient, and people-first office culture
What We’re Looking For:

At least 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Friendly, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

QuickBooks experience is a plus

Prior payroll and HR experience is a plus
