Forklift Operator / Material Handler – 3rd Shift

🕒 Full-Time | Overnight Shift
We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator / Material Handler for a 3rd shift opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Springfield, IL. This role is ideal for candidates with strong forklift skills, warehouse experience, and a safety-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate sit-down forklift to move materials, parts, and finished products throughout the facility

Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently

Transport materials between departments and production areas

Assist machinists with positioning, lifting, and staging parts

Flip parts for cleaning and perform basic deburring tasks

Support general labor and production needs as required

Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas

Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and work instructions
Qualifications:

1+ years of forklift experience (sit-down forklift preferred)

Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or production environments

Ability to lift, move, and handle materials in a physical role

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Safety-focused with good judgment and awareness

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication skills and reliability
