Job Full Description
Join a respected electric company as a Design & Staking Technician and play a key role in designing and mapping electric utility lines for residential, commercial, and industrial members. This is a great opportunity for former electricians, GIS mapping grads, or anyone with a 2-year technical degree looking to grow in a high-impact, community-focused environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and stake overhead and underground electric distribution lines
- Work with GIS mapping systems and AutoCAD
- Collaborate with electricians, contractors, and property owners
- Support utility operations and field inventory
- Communicate with members and assist with service planning
- Learn and work with SCADA, OMS, and other utility technologies
What We’re Looking For:
- 2-year degree in GIS, electrical tech, or related field
- OR hands-on experience in electrical work or utility design
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to learn utility systems and mapping tools
- Valid Indiana driver’s license
