Manual Machinist
A precision-focused manufacturing facility in the Columbus area is looking to add a skilled Manual Machinist to their team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on machining, problem-solving, and producing high-accuracy components for a variety of industries.

Job Duties:
- Operate manual lathes, mills, and machining tools to produce parts with tight tolerances
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications
- Verify part accuracy using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, CMM equipment, and other precision instruments
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces for different machining operations
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Follow all safety protocols when operating power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and other machinery
- Assist with assembly tasks as needed and collaborate closely with the production team
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Manual Machinist or similar machining role
- Strong mechanical understanding of machining processes; CNC lathe/mill experience preferred
- CAM programming, CNC programming, and G-code familiarity is a plus
- Ability to read and work from complex blueprints using GD&T principles
- Skilled with precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment
- Experience with EDM, plastics injection molding, welding, or related processes is a bonus
- Comfortable with basic math for measurements and tolerances; lean manufacturing knowledge is helpful
- Ability to operate a forklift (or willingness to be trained)
- Strong hand-eye coordination and experience with tools, fixtures, and setup processes
