Scale Clerk Operator – Job Overview

A grain elevator in Montezuma, KS is seeking a reliable Scale Clerk Operator to join their harvest season team. This position is responsible for accurately weighing grain trucks, maintaining records, and assisting producers and drivers with excellent customer service.

 

Responsibilities

  • Weigh and document inbound and outbound grain trucks

  • Issue scale tickets and keep accurate, organized records

  • Communicate clearly with drivers, producers, and elevator staff

  • Follow company procedures and safety standards

  • Assist with office or elevator support duties as needed

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Basic computer and data entry skills

  • Good communication and customer service skills

  • Dependable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

 

Schedule & Pay

  • Pay: $17.50/hour

  • Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (with overtime as needed during harvest)

  • Location: Montezuma, KS
