We are hiring a Diesel Mechanic to support our client's growing fleet of vehicles in New Orleans.
Pay: $25/hour to $31.00/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with every other Saturday.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Preventive Maintenance on Garbage trucks
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs per manufacturer standards
- Follow all safety procedures and use PPE
- Document all work performed
- Communicate with supervisors and operators
- Maintain tools and work areas
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a Diesel mechanic
- Knowledge of shop equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A CDL is a plus, with incentives and training provided.
