Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (employee’s choice)

Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Hardband Operator to join our team. The Hardband Operator will be responsible for applying hardbanding to drill pipe and other oilfield equipment according to established procedures and specifications. The ideal candidate should have experience in operating hardbanding equipment, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. This role requires a strong commitment to precision and efficiency to contribute to the overall success of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- – Set up and operate hardbanding equipment, such as automatic and semi-automatic welding machines, in accordance with job specifications and safety guidelines.
- – Inspect drill pipe and other equipment to identify areas requiring hardband application and ensure compliance with technical requirements.
- – Clean and prepare surfaces for hardbanding, including grinding and sandblasting as necessary.
- – Apply hardbanding material using appropriate welding techniques and ensure uniform coverage and smooth finish.
- – Monitor welding parameters and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
- – Conduct visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) to verify hardband integrity and quality.
- – Record operational data and maintain accurate documentation of hardbanding activities, including work orders and inspection reports.
- – Follow established procedures for handling and disposing of materials, including hazardous waste, in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
- – Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize work orders and meet production schedules.
- – Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, equipment, and tools.
Requirements:
- – High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in welding is preferred.
- – Proven experience as a Hardband Operator or similar role in the oil and gas industry.
- – Proficiency in operating automatic and semi-automatic welding equipment for hardbanding applications.
- – Knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and materials used in hardbanding processes.
- – Understanding of safety regulations and practices related to welding operations.
- – Strong attention to detail and quality control, with the ability to identify defects and ensure compliance with standards.
- – Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions and environments.
- – Effective communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- – Experience with hardbanding on drill pipe or similar oilfield equipment.
