Job Title: Marine Maintenance Technician
Location: Pasadena, MD
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $23–$30/hr, based on experience
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled Marine Maintenance Technician to join a reputable marine service provider in the Pasadena, MD area. This role focuses on the upkeep, maintenance, and general care of boats and marine equipment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and experienced in general maintenance, plumbing systems, and equipment upkeep.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and upkeep on boats and marine equipment
- Maintain and service onboard systems such as water lines, pumps, and basic electrical components
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot and address maintenance-related issues (non-engine focused)
- Assist with cleaning, detailing, and overall vessel upkeep
- Support seasonal tasks such as winterization and preparation for use
- Assist with boat launches, hauling, and general marina support as needed
- Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience in maintenance, mechanical, or hands-on labor roles
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems (marine experience a plus)
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Must pass a drug screening
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working outdoors and around water
Preferred:
- Experience working on boats or in a marina environment
- Familiarity with marine systems (pumps, tanks, wiring, etc.)
- Experience with seasonal maintenance or winterization
