Lead Cook / Kitchen Supervisor
Location: Annapolis, MD
Pay: $18–$21/hr
Schedule: 10:30 AM – Close (around 9 PM) | Flexible scheduling
The American Legion in Annapolis is seeking an experienced Lead Cook to oversee daily kitchen operations. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to step into a kitchen leadership or management role.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items (basic, consistent menu)
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff
- Create schedules and manage shift coverage
- Place food and supply orders
- Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen organization
- Delegate tasks and keep operations running smoothly
Requirements:
- Previous cooking experience required
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Catering background is a plus
- Strong reliability and ability to manage a team
- Comfortable delegating and maintaining standards
- Must have reliable transportation (public transit may be limited)
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
