Safety Coordinator Assistant - $20/hr
Express Employment is searching for a Safety Coordinator Assistant for their client in Wayne, MI. This is a full time, long term position with a well established liquid manufacturer. As a Safety Coordinator Assistant, you will have responsibilities ranging from basic floor checks to running month reports.
Safety Coordinator Assistant Responsibilities:
- Floor checks: fire extinguishers, equipment, eye wash and safety shower, sewers, parking lot and vehicles, all employee PPE.
- New hire orientation and forklift training
- Process work order requests for repairs and replacements
- Gather and report monthly on safety check lists
- Assist in compliance adherence
- Assist in HR and staffing activities like onboarding and escorting off premises
Safety Coordinator Assistant Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Environmental Safety preferred or relevant certifications (MIOSHA)
- 2+ years experience in safety related position
- Forklift experience
- Proficient in MS Office
