Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is looking for a Buyer for our client in Plymouth, MI. This is a temporary 4-6 month assignment with a engineering and manufacturing firm.
Buyer Responsibilities
· Create, monitor, review and process purchase order requisitions, purchase orders, and requests for quotations.
· Purchase materials, equipment, supplies while avoiding any purchasing of materials already in stock.
· Source/identify appropriate vendors.
· Initiate negotiation renegotiation, and administer contracts with vendors, and other representatives.
· Communicate with internal Scheduling, Shipping & Receiving and Inventory departments regularly to ensure accuracy of required timing, accurate receipt and/or return of purchased material.
Buyer Qualifications
· Associate degree preferred, minimum of high school diploma required
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in pricing negotiation and supplier quality management.
· Ability to learn ERP systems.
· Strong Customer orientation.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
