We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a precision manufacturing team producing high-quality machined components for a variety of industries. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting CNC mills and lathes while maintaining strict quality standards and meeting production goals.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce parts according to blueprint specifications
- Perform tool changes, offset adjustments, and minor machine edits as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and job travelers
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators to verify part dimensions
- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic machining issues
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records
- Follow all safety procedures and keep work areas clean and organized
- Work collaboratively with quality, engineering, and production teams to meet customer requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience required
- Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining centers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, speeds, and feeds
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment
- Ability to perform setups and make offsets independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience machining tight-tolerance parts
- Aerospace, automotive, defense, or precision manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment
