Position Overview
Express Employment Professionals – Forest Lake is seeking qualified and motivated candidates for Production Machinist openings in Pine City, MN. This is a great opportunity for individuals with machining experience who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and contributing to a collaborative production environment.
Pay & Schedule
- Hourly Pay: $24/hour
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Pay Frequency: Weekly
- Employment Type: Evaluation-to-Hire
- Location: Pine City, MN

Key Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of manual and CNC machines (lathes, milling machines, grinders, etc.)
- Set up machines using technical drawings and program formats for operations like milling, boring, turning, and threading
- Write basic programs for machine controls
- Read and interpret technical drawings to manufacture quality parts
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using precision instruments (micrometers, Vernier calipers)
- Monitor machine feed and speed during operations
- Inspect completed units for defects and ensure quality standards
- Collaborate with engineering and production staff to exchange technical information
- Recommend machining procedure improvements
- Train other staff on work instructions and machine operations
Qualifications
- Ability to operate industrial machinery and equipment
- Intermediate knowledge of CNC lathe and engine lathe operation
- Proficient in using metric tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
- Strong mechanical and math skills
- Previous machining experience or formal education in CNC/Machine Trades
- Experience in a production environment
- HS Diploma required
- Background Screen- Not required
- Drug Screen-Not required
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 70 lbs intermittently
- Frequent walking, pulling, twisting, bending, reaching, crouching, and lifting
- Manual dexterity to grip, pull, push, twist, and manipulate materials
Equipment Used
- Manual and CNC machines
- Safety glasses with side shields (required at all times)
- Ear protection (as needed)
