Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals – Forest Lake is seeking a highly organized and analytical Production Scheduler for a growing manufacturing company in Pine City, MN. Pay & Schedule

• Hourly Pay: $25.00–$27.00 per hour

• Schedule: 1st Shift – Flexible hours

• Pay Frequency: Weekly

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and master production schedules based on customer demand, capacity, and material availability

• Sequence work orders to maximize efficiency, minimize changeovers, and meet delivery commitments

• Adjust schedules in real time to address material shortages, labor constraints, equipment downtime, or priority changes

• Communicate schedule changes clearly to manufacturing supervisors and stakeholders

• Coordinate with Purchasing and Inventory Control to ensure materials are available to support production

• Serve as the primary scheduling liaison between Sales, Customer Service, and Manufacturing

• Provide production status updates, ship dates, and recovery plans when delays occur

• Identify opportunities to improve scheduling accuracy, workflow, and throughput

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills; proficiency with ERP or scheduling systems

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally

• Proficient in data analysis and reporting

• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and constraint management

Experience Required

• Experience in a make‑to‑order or high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing environment

• APICS CPIM or similar certification preferred

• 2–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations

Qualities Required

• Strong computer and ERP system proficiency

• Commitment to safety protocols and PPE requirements

Education Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Physical Requirements

• Minimal physical demands

• May require walking the shop floor and attending production meetings

Equipment Used

• Computer systems, inventory records, ERP tools

• Office and production floor environment
