Job Full Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. This position is responsible for maintaining and preparing apartment units and property grounds to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for current and future residents. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in general maintenance, painting, light plumbing, and minor appliance and equipment repairs.
***TWO WEEK CONTRACT***
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare vacant units for new tenants, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs
• Perform general maintenance tasks such as drywall patching, fixture replacement, and carpentry repairs
• Complete light plumbing work includes unclogging drains, replacing faucets, and minor leak repairs
• Move and install appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, and washers/dryers as needed
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Conduct routine property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs
• Respond promptly to maintenance service requests and work orders
• Communicate effectively with property management, fellow maintenance staff, and residents
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willing to submit to drug and background screening
• 1+ years of experience in general maintenance, apartment, or property management preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, painting, appliance installation, and general repair work
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Capable of lifting and moving appliances and heavy equipment
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
