2nd Shift $20/hr.
We are seeking a skilled Sand Blaster Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating sandblasting, bead blasting, and shot blasting equipment to clean, prepare, and finish metal surfaces. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the durability and finish quality of our automotive and structural components before coating or painting.
Responsibilities:
• Operate sandblasting, bead blasting, and shot blasting equipment in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
• Prepare surfaces for blasting by cleaning, masking, or degreasing as needed
• Perform blasting operations on automotive parts, tractor trailers, shipping containers, bed liners, and large structural items
• Select appropriate abrasives, pressures, and equipment settings for each job based on material type and desired finish
• Inspect completed work to ensure surfaces meet quality and customer specifications
• Clean and organize blasting area and equipment after each use
• Follow proper safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, gloves, and protective clothing
• Assist with loading and unloading items for blasting and help with other shop duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in sandblasting, bead blasting, or shot blasting required
• Willing to submit to drug and background screening
• Familiarity with industrial blasting equipment and procedures
• Ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy materials (50+ lbs.) and work in dusty environments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance
• Ability to read and follow work orders and safety instructions
