Job Full Description
Our client specializes in high-quality stainless steel food processing equipment and currently hiring for skilled MIG Welders to join their growing team.
The MIG Welder will be responsible for fabricating and welding stainless steel components used in food-grade processing equipment. This role requires a high level of precision, cleanliness, and experience with both MIG and TIG welding processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of welding experience, particularly in stainless steel applications within the food equipment or sanitary industry.
5+ years of previous, current and relevant experience
Responsibilities:
• Perform MIG welding (and some TIG welding as needed) on stainless steel components
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and engineering drawings
• Prepare and clean weld surfaces using appropriate tools and techniques
• Inspect welds for quality, strength, and sanitary compliance
• Grind, polish, and finish welded joints to meet food-grade standards
• Operate basic fabrication tools such as shears, saws, and grinders
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace that meets food-safe production requirements
• Collaborate with fabrication and engineering teams to resolve technical issues
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of MIG and TIG welding experience, specifically on stainless steel
• Experience working in a food-grade or sanitary equipment environment is highly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and shop drawings
• Skilled in grinding and polishing welds to sanitary finishing standards
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, consistent work
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in welding is a plus
