Job Full Description
We are currently hiring as Receptionist for a medical practice. This role supports daily clinic operations by managing patient flow, scheduling, communication, and administrative tasks while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and patient care.
Responsibilities
• Greeting patients and guests with a warm smile and a cheerful, courteous demeanor
• Maintain a consistent “How can I help?” service-oriented attitude
• Check patients in and out of the clinic, verifying demographic and insurance information
• Collect, record, and process patient payments accurately
• Schedule appointments and manage a high-volume clinic calendar
• Answer incoming phone calls promptly and respond to patient needs and inquiries
• Coordinate with clinical staff to maintain an efficient patient flow and minimize wait times
• Notify patients of service delays in a clear, empathetic, and professional manner
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the waiting area
• Protect patient rights by maintaining strict confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information
• Follow clinic policies and procedures and contribute ideas for process improvement
• Actively participate in staff meetings and support a positive, team-oriented clinic culture
Qualifications
• Ability to multi-task, manage high-volume scheduling, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to submit to drug and background screening
• Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist colleagues and shift priorities as needed
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Previous medical office or front desk experience preferred
• Basic computer proficiency required
• Experience with EMR systems required; NextGen experience is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required
