Job Full Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller to manage billing and collections for healthcare services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on medical billing experience, with chiropractic billing knowledge considered a strong plus. This role requires fluency in both English and Spanish to effectively communicate with patients, insurance companies, and internal staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on medical claims to insurance carriers in a timely and accurate manner
- Handle chiropractic billing processes, including CPT, ICD-10, and modifier usage (preferred)
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements
- Post payments, adjustments, and denials accurately
- Investigate and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments
- Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries, balances, and payment arrangements (English & Spanish)
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and payer regulations
- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping within billing systems
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller in a healthcare setting
- Chiropractic medical billing experience strongly preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Strong knowledge of medical coding, insurance guidelines, and billing procedures
- Experience with EHR/EMR and medical billing software
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
