Position Overview

In this critical role, you will be responsible for optimizing daily field operations, including route planning, delivery scheduling, and truckload coordination, to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery. You will work directly with the company owner and leverage proprietary scheduling and route optimization software to support your planning decisions.
This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with operational savvy and real-time problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and optimize daily routes for multiple service trucks across various geographic zones.

Balance customer service priorities with cost-effective logistics planning.

Monitor real-time job progress and dynamically adjust schedules to resolve delays or conflicts.

Use proprietary logistics/scheduling software to model and implement continuous improvements.

Collaborate with field teams to track job durations and ensure equitable workload distribution.

Generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to evaluate scheduling efficiency and service levels.

Identify opportunities to enhance route efficiency, minimize fuel consumption, and improve customer satisfaction.

Act as the primary logistics point of contact for the leadership team, contributing to broader operational strategies.
Qualifications

Proven experience in logistics, dispatching, or scheduling—especially in field services, construction, delivery, or similar industries.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Familiarity with route optimization or logistics platforms (training on proprietary systems will be provided).

Excellent attention to detail and time management.

Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern scheduling tools.
