Maintenance Mechanic

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of industrial processing equipment. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical aptitude, fabrication experience, and a proactive approach to equipment reliability and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance on processing equipment, including extrusion lines, chillers, and auxiliary plastic processing machinery, in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Fabricate machinery and storage systems (minimum 5 years of fabrication experience required).
• Perform welding tasks (strong welding experience preferred).
• Troubleshoot control systems for processing equipment.
• Apply industrial electrical knowledge (experience is a plus).
• Operate lathes and milling machines for general machining tasks.

Daily Duties

• Communicate professionally with management and team members.
• Maintain organized workspaces using 5S methodology.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Safely lift and maneuver equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Perform general rigging and operate forklifts.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
