General Manager – Brewery Operations
Schedule: Full-Time | Flexible (Evenings, Weekends, Events as Needed)
Location: Western North Carolina

Position Overview
We’re looking for a General Manager / Director of Operations to lead all aspects of a brand-new brewery’s day-to-day operations. This is a ground-floor opportunity for someone passionate about craft beer, hospitality, and building a community hub. The right candidate will be adaptable, entrepreneurial, and excited to help grow a new business.
The General Manager will oversee brewery operations, food and beverage service (including commissary partnerships and food trucks), customer experience, staffing, compliance, and event planning—reporting directly to ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead overall operations of the brewery, taproom, food service, and event programs.
Recruit, hire, train, and manage staff to ensure exceptional service and team culture.
Oversee food preparation and service, including commissary partners and food truck management.
Ensure quality control, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
Plan and execute brewery events and community engagements.
Manage scheduling, ordering, and vendor relationships.
Monitor financial performance, expenses, and reporting.
Work directly with ownership to align on business strategy and long-term growth.
Qualifications
Previous management experience in hospitality, brewery, bar, or restaurant operations (required).
Strong leadership skills with proven ability to build and motivate teams.
Financial acumen, including budgeting, P&L management, and vendor relations.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Knowledge of craft beer and/or food & beverage operations.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, flexible start-up environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $55,000/year, paid biweekly
Profit Share Bonus: Quarterly bonus equal to 10% of operating profit (5% on delivery operations) from brewery, restaurant, and food truck operations, before fixed cost allocations
Health Benefits: $300/month Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Account (ICHRA) toward health, dental, or vision insurance
Vacation & Leave: 2 weeks paid vacation, 1 week paid sick leave, and company holidays
