Floating Medical Assistant – $17–$21/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Location: Asheville, NC

A well-established medical practice in Asheville is seeking a Floating Medical Assistant to support multiple providers and departments as needed. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their day, can adapt quickly, and thrives in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
What You’ll Be Doing

Room patients, obtain detailed medical histories, and prepare them for exams

Assist with in-room procedures and clinical tasks throughout the day

Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system

Support physicians and clinical teams in delivering efficient, quality patient care

Prepare, clean, and restock exam rooms and manage medical instruments

Help ensure smooth patient flow across departments
What You Need to Succeed

Medical Assistant experience required; MA certification preferred but not mandatory

Strong knowledge of clinical workflows and medical terminology

EMR proficiency and solid administrative skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and float between departments

Excellent communication, professionalism, and patient service skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
