Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Downtown Asheville
Job Type: Full-time (NOT REMOTE)
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Hourly Rate: $20-$25/hr DOE
About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper for our client a local CPA firm. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks and have a solid background in bank reconciliations, as well as preparing balance sheets and profit & loss statements. This position requires a meticulous and organized individual who is capable of managing multiple financial tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bookkeeping and financial processes including, but not limited to, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate monthly balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Maintain comprehensive financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting functions and ensure data integrity in all financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and participate in financial audits.
- Collaborate with other team members to improve financial processes and workflows.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights for better financial management and decision-making.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and experienced with other financial systems and databases.
- Strong understanding of bank reconciliations, and preparation of balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in financial management.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
