Job Full Description
The Warehouse Helper supports daily warehouse operations by receiving incoming donated goods and sorting items into designated bins for recycling, refurbishment, or disposal. This role helps keep the warehouse organized, safe, and efficient while supporting the organization’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and unload incoming donated goods.
Inspect donated items and determine appropriate sorting category: recycle, refurbish, or discard.
Sort and place items into designated bins or areas according to guidelines.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Follow safety procedures and proper lifting techniques.
Assist with general warehouse tasks as needed, including moving materials and maintaining inventory flow.
Qualifications:
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move items throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 30-50 pounds with or without assistance on a regular basis.
Basic attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Prior warehouse or sorting experience preferred but not required.
Work Environment:
Warehouse setting with varying temperatures.
Physical work involving lifting, sorting, and standing for extended periods.
Monday-Friday 8am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm. $18/hr to start.
