Job Title: Temporary Legal Receptionist
Pay Rate: $21-$25/hr DOE
Location: Hendersonville
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30-5:30
Bilingual: Spanish preferred but not required
Job Summary: Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Receptionist to join their team. This role involves serving as the initial point of contact for clients, providing high-quality legal screening for prospective applicants, and ensuring the efficient operation of their legal screening process. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish, though this is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Reception Duties: Serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, answering phones, greeting guests, and providing information with professionalism and courtesy.
• Legal Screening: Accurately complete legal screening applications within the Legal Server System in a timely manner. Monitor all generalist call-back lists and online applications, ensuring prompt and accurate processing.
• Urgent Requests: Respond to urgent service requests, flagging critical issues for supervisory review as needed.
• Coordination: Work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator on legal screening and volunteer management. This includes distributing screening work, coordinating case flow, and assisting in the training of volunteer screeners and receptionists as necessary.
• Spanish Interpretation: Provide interpretation services between Advocates and clients when required.
Qualifications:
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with legal screening processes or similar administrative roles is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft.
• Familiarity with Legal Server System or similar database management tools is advantageous.
