Swing Shift Production Operator | West Asheville Area
Pay: $21.57/hr to start | $24.90/hr once hired permanently

We’re hiring Production Operators for a well-established manufacturing facility in the West Asheville area. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys staying active, learning equipment, and working as part of a production team.
The Important Stuff
- Starting Pay: $21.57/hr
- Pay once hired permanently: $24.90/hr
- Schedule: 12-hour rotating swing shifts
- Shifts rotate between days and nights
- Day Shift: 6:50 AM–6:50 PM
- Night Shift: 6:50 PM–6:50 AM
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English
- Composite safety-toe or steel-toe shoes are required

What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment
- Load materials and assist with production processes
- Inspect products and equipment for quality
- Make routine machine adjustments as needed
- Complete quality checks and record production information
- Learn different machines and production areas
- Follow established safety and operating procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Complete training to obtain and maintain forklift certification
- Assist with material handling and packaging as needed
Things to Keep in Mind
- This is a very active manufacturing position
- Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
- Work may include bending, stretching, pushing, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Some production areas may be warm, humid, noisy, or have limited air circulation
- Required PPE may include eye, hearing, hand, and foot protection
- You’ll need to be comfortable working both day and night shifts

- Manufacturing or machine operating experience is a plus, but a willingness to learn is extremely important
- Dependable and safety-minded
- Comfortable learning new equipment and processes
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to quality and detail
- Team player who can also work independently
- Willing to complete on-the-job training and continue developing machine-operation skills
